Our Company Aims
We established K International in 1986 to provide translation services to local businesses and Government. This has since grown and we now working with some of the largest companies and Governments in the world, supplying them with a method of translating their message into 150+ languages.
The aim of our business is to provide our clients with a service which allows them to publish professional and localised versions of text with limitless subject matter. This can range from straightforward document translation to the management of a multi-region/multi-platform release of a new product.
Global Network
We have a global network of professional mother tongue translators, interpreters, writers and designers. This network allows our clients to publish their message in almost any region of the world, which can mean a significant and positive increase in their potential customer base.
All assignments will be professionally managed and properly reported, enabling your company to concentrate resources on its core activities. You will be able to control all marketing projects centrally, we can even manage the communication to and from your foreign offices.
Innovation
We are considered experts in the overall field of linguistics and have considerable experience in setting up complex multilingual projects. We are able to develop new services and solutions to problems that our clients have previously considered impossible, some examples follow.
- Linguistic Testing for easyJet. A member of our (European) linguistic testing team assists with easyJet’s cabin crew interview process to determine if the candidate's claimed language capabilities meet easyJet’s level of customer service.
- Telephone interpreting. We now have a global network of 3,000 interpreters and service the largest company in the world exclusively with this service. This has allowed them to re-assign thousands of call centre staff and make millions of dollars of savings a year.
- DVD production. We have expanded our services to include the production of multilingual DVDs. Recently, this including the development and recording of a sign language DVD for the Scottish Prison Service.
Our Clients
Broadly speaking our company is split into two divisions, Corporate and Government.
Under the Corporate Division we service clients such as; easyJet, Chrysler, Wizz Air, BP, Exxon Mobil, Audi, Callaway Golf and Nationwide.
All Government work is underpinned by the pan-Government agreement for translation services which was established by the OGC in 2006. This is called 05/GEN/25 and means that if you work for the Government you can order translation services at a much more competitive rate.
Our Processes
ALL processes at K International adhere to ISO 9001. This is an internationally recognised system for the quality control of the provision of business services.
We are independently audited by Lloyds every nine months and audited by our own management consultants every month. This ensures that our processes are robust and fit to serve our clients.
Environmentally Responsible
We really wanted to make a difference and put something back into the world that would change things and be a benefit for future generations.
At the end of 2007 we committed to planting 50,000 trees over the next 5 years. The project will develop a brownfield site that was once a disused coal mine in the North East of England into a place of natural beauty.
This offsets all carbon dioxide that is produced by our business (including all business and interpreter journeys) by a factor of ten, making us and our business carbon neutral.
