Autumn colours of Shinjuku

Picture Postcards from Tokyo

Being part of a company working with languages every day really helps stoke the desire to travel. I have just returned from another trip to Tokyo, my third time in as many years. If you have followed some of my previous articles you may be forgiven for thinking I am developing something of an affinity for the place. It’s true, I think if I could, I would relocate there in heartbeat.

Alongside my daily duties as K International’s Marketing Designer, I’m an avid photographer, usually chasing motorsport around the United Kingdom. For me, and I have to assume millions of other people, Japan (Tokyo especially) provides so much creative and cultural opportunity, it truly is a staggeringly beautiful country, full of contrasts. From the peaceful temples and gardens all the way to the crowded, neon streets flanked with skyscrapers.

Each time I have visited, I have tried to broaden my photographic portfolio and attempted to capture some of the vibrancy and intrigue on offer. Here are just a few snap shots I managed to gather during my 3 week stay in Tokyo.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit Tokyo, or indeed anywhere in Japan, I urge you not to hesitate. There are few places in the world that can inspire such awe and wonder, with so much variety on offer it would take multiple lifetimes to really feel like you have experienced everything.

I have selected 6 of my favourite images from the trip and made them available for download as high resolution widescreen wallpaper.
