CSR Accreditation
K International has received accreditation from the Home Office in relation to our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objectives.
During the audit we were asked numerous questions about how we align our values and behaviour with the expectations and needs of all our stakeholders.
Issues included
- governance,
- investment in our industry,
- environmental management,
- stakeholder engagement,
- labour standards,
- employee and community relations,
- social equity,
- responsible sourcing, and,
- human rights.
Post audit we are accredited with ‘Certify Level of CAESER Assessment’ certificate number 379244.

What is Caeser.org
CAESER (Corporate Assessment of Environmental, Economic and Social Responsibility) is designed to be an inclusive program of supplier engagement, designed for the public sector and large private sector organisations who wish to formalise and embed sustainability principles into core business functions, including supply chain management.
By inclusive, its meant that both the public and private sector work in a mutually beneficial and voluntary way to address key issues of sustainability which affect our rapidly changing world.
Our Tree Planting Project
Central to our CSR objectives is our aim to become carbon neutral. To achieve this we are beginning a tree planting programme that will result in the establishment of a woodland containing at least 50,000 trees.
The project will take five years to complete and will involve developing a brownfield site, that was once a coal mine, in the North East of England into a place of natural beauty. In doing this it will both benefit the local economy (by providing local jobs) and the environment as it is estimated that as the 50,000 trees grow they will sequester 1,000 tonnes of C02 a year. This far out weighs (by a factor of ten) the carbon emissions that our company is responsible for.
The plan is to plant 8,000 trees this spring (spring is the best time to plant trees) and then the following 42,000 over the next 4/5 years. The trees planted will be a mixture of Oak, Spruce, Beech and Scots Pine.
