ADVICE AND STRATEGY
Non-Food Labelling Translation Solutions
Product safety expectations are continually growing and with the expansion of the general merchandise sector, your product packaging must be clear for consumers to understand and compliant with local regulations.
To succeed across all markets, brands need consumers to trust that they deliver on what they promise. It takes a long time to build that implicit trust with consumers new to the brand. However, it can be destroyed in no time at all if the labelling is not right.

What are Non-Food and General Merchandise?
For a retailer, products fall into one of two categories: Groceries and Food, and Non-Food/General Merchandise (GM).
The main distinction between the two is often looked at in terms of perishability.
In the simplest terms, GM generally refers to products which are non-food. The category spans across goods such as cosmetics, electronics, household appliances and many more. Although GM products have a longer shelf life, there are still stringent laws and regulations surrounding the category. Consumer safety is key, so ensuring your general merchandise labels are clearly understood by your customers is vital.
We have years of experience supporting retail organisations with their import/export packaging. Whether you are a small start-up or a multinational organisation, let us know if you have a project we can help with.
