We have been working with NHS clients for over two decades. Our experience ranges from handling the medical records of overseas troops for the British Army, providing interpreters for hospital appointments to making medical documents accessible for local GP surgeries. Due to the sensitive nature of much of our medical work, our security procedures and commitment to confidentiality are at the forefront of the language industry.

Based in Munich and with offices all over the world, Brainlab is an award-winning innovator in image-guided surgery and stereotactic radiosurgery. The services we provided to Brainlab included technical medical translation, proofreading and validation management to produce technical documentation and software for the European market. Using our workflow software, we translated directly into their systems. All translated documents were tested in market by qualified surgeons before release to the customer. This service was completed in French, German, Spanish and Italian for the relevant European markets.

We assisted the NHS cancer screening programme with the national campaign through handling the translation and production of medical information for the domestic market. This involved translating documentation, websites and support material into Chinese, Punjabi, Urdu and Gujarati. Our translations directly support the NHS cancer screening programme to save lives by ensuring the message cuts through language barriers to raise awareness throughout the UK.

The Meningitis Research Foundation fund research into preventing meningitis and septicaemia, as well as improving survival rates by promoting education and awareness to reduce death and disability, and give support to people affected. Their vision is a world free from meningitis and septicaemia. At K International, we assist them in this mission by providing their communications in languages other than English. More specifically we provide: medical translation of information into 20 languages, voice-over recordings of the information into 20 languages and telephone interpreting services.

The Terrence Higgins Trust is a charity organisation working to raise awareness about HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. We work with them on a variety of projects, mainly around ensuring campaigns reach a multilingual audience. For example, we assisted the organisation with translating a campaign directed towards migrant gay men coming to the UK. This campaign provides information on: attitudes towards homosexuality, lifestyle, dangers of HIV, Aids and other diseases, and also where to go should you have a problem or need counselling, etc. This client requires very specific terminology management and normally translates into French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Polish and Portuguese.
